The new U-Stick Strut Bladders from Airtime.
Airtime
has been making replacement bladders for years and have always been able
to make a super strong bladder for every kite out there.
They have just released their new U-stick bladders
which are incredible.
This new system allows us to keep in stock blank bladders that fit just
about every kite out there.
The U-Stick bladders come in a variety of standard sizes and you choose
the valve configuration you need for your specific kite.
Simply order the size bladder you need, and the type of valve you need,
and you are all set. The valves stick-on the bladder by simply removing
the backing, and pressing down firmly. When ordering the bladder, please
specifiy the type of valve you need. For struts, the 9mm strut valve is
what is needed to fit most kites. If you have a slingshot one-pump kite,
the Slingshot Nipple valve is what you need to add. Any questions, call
the shop. Remember to go bigger on your sizes...so, if you have a 36"
strut, order the 40", etc.
There's 2
ways of working out which bladder will fit your kite.
1. Take your punctured bladder out of your kite and measure it's overall
length, then choose the correct length from the list below.
2.Go to: www.airtimekite.com/chart2.html and select your make/model and
size of kite from their website once you have this, just click back to
here and choose from the list below. Not all manufacturers are on their
site at present so measuring it would be the easier option at the mo.
Make sure you order enough valves for your bladder, i.e. main and dump
valves if leading edge and whether the valve is a one or two way option.
Once you've worked that one out, again just choose from the list to add
them to your order.
You can also take a spare strut bladder with you on your holiday, just
pick the largest size, i.e centre strut and if one of your smaller struts
blow, you just roll down the bigger size to suit. So just taking a one
spare will if all your sizes!
The Valve Fix It Kits have a larger footpad to allow you to cut out your
old vavle and fit the new one without needing to replace the whole bladder!
