The Cult is a kite for anyone who is looking for an entry into traction kiting sports such as buggy or mountain boarding or for the more experienced flyer who wants a good all round kite with easy flying characteristics and plenty of performance
The Cult has been designed to replace the amazing Samurai range with a sportier, more stable style of kite. It is supremely easy to use with mountains of performance to get you moving in a buggy, on a mountain board or just getting dragged along in the sand. It has a higher aspect ratio than the Samurai range which means a faster turn and it is quicker through the air therefore generating more power per size.
The Cult is available in 6 sizes from 2.0 meters squared to 6.5 meters squared, which covers a huge wind range enabling you to get out kiting in almost all conditions.
The bridles on the kite have been reduced to a minimum which makes for less drag and a lighter kite, compared to the previous Samurai range there are 30% less bridles. This translates to the kite flying in lighter winds, a greater wind speed to power generated ratio and as the kite can penetrate the window deeper the up wind ability is superb. The stability is kept even with less bridling by the use of D-Rib construction, a method of strengthening the kite from inside to enable less support from the bridles.

With its name inspired from the New Zealand War Dance, the Haka is Ozone’s high performance fixed bridle kite designed for huge jumps and full on freestyle action on your buggy or mountainboard.
With the high aspect ratio and extremely thin cross section the Haka turns and moves through the air at warp speed allowing for huge power delivery when you need it. The number of cells on the kite plays a major part of its performance and the Haka has massive 28 cells on the 7m and 9m versions. Advanced D rib construction has been used on the Haka to reduce drag from the bridles; this is done by adding internal strength to the kite enabling less bridle to be used for support. The brake line bridle has also been reduced to a minimum to save on drag and has been designed to stall the kite out of the sky quickly and safely.

The Frenzy has been the good friend of many Snowkiters across the globe and since its debut six years ago the Frenzy has set the standard. Chasta has taken the Frenzy to three world titles and has pushed the boundaries of the sport with this kite further than most of us can imagine. This season the FYX comes to you as that good friend you know but has some new features that really set it off.
During the last season I was working with Chasta, Brian and Heather from Windzup on the FYX. I was looking to keep the grunt power, speed up the handling and reduce the bar pressure. At the end of the season Brian and Heather went to Alaska with the prototypes and came back with good reports from all the riders that rode them. Since then I have modified small things just to finish off the details.
The FX has a thinner profile to allow it to fly faster and extend the de power range. The bridals have been minimized by removing the D lines, this helps reduce drag and increases performance and speed. I have worked extensively on the handling resulting in lighter bar pressure and faster turning.
The new flying line Y system helps the handling and again reduces drag even further. There is also the addition of the X line which helps reduce the chance to bowtie the kite. The new kite is still a low down grunt kite which produces power just by putting it in the air but it is smoother, faster and lighter to handle.
With the use of internal compression straps, the visionbridling has been kept to a minimum which means great efficiency and a reactive, progressive speed. There are one way inlet vavles on the leading edge to keep the kite shape during flight and allowing good water relaunch.
Air inlet and outlet zips mean for a fast set up and pack down time.

Chasta Says about the new Ozone Manta II, I started working in the beginning of last winter on a new prototype that was radically different from the original Manta. A new 2 pulley speed system, high performance profile, low drag bridle layout, internal diagonals to further reduce line drag and a new swept high aspect ratio plan form.
The first size to arrive was the 10m and although it was not perfect in every way it was obviously a very good start. I used the proto 10m every time I went out no matter what the wind or snow conditions. It worked well in the light wind and was good in the strong rough stuff but it did not have enough de-power. I made a couple of protos with different attachment points to try to increase the de-power range and found a very good compromise between handling, stability and de-power.
After I was satisfied that the proto was flying really well I gave the kite to Chasta. It took about one minute before he was higher than I had ever seen him before. He sessioned for about an hour doing double kite loops, mega airs and rotations. He came back to me smiling and not wanting to give me the proto back! We worked together for weeks after that trying different speed systems and trimming until we found what we think to be the best for all the kinds of riding that we do.
The result I am happy to say is a lighter faster handling kite with dynamic pop and amazing de-power. The two pulley speed system reduces bar pressure tremendously and allows the kite to fly faster while retaining stability throughout the wind range. Because the handling is faster it is easy to pop and the high performance profile keeps you up there for a long time. In light wind you have to work the kite to gain speed but once you feel it power up it just keeps pulling progressively.
In really light wind I like to pull the trimmer on about 6cm just to help the kite fly faster making it easier to keep in the air. In stronger wind the kite just powers up and is super fun to ride. When Chasta is riding unhooked he likes to pull on about 10cm of trim, this give him optimum power and control for new school freestyle moves.
Unlike the Frenzy this kite does not have low down grunt power, you need to create speed to get the power out of this kite which is why it is a high performance kite designed for riders that know how to kite.

The Instinct Sport has a progressive curve across the leading edge which is more swept than the original. The Y bridle back line configuration ensures the power from the back lines is applied to the correct part of the tip during the turn to keep the power constant and direct. The turn is initiated at the bottom of the tip, creating a faster reaction time, then, as the kite moves through the turn, the power is smoothed out and comes from further up the tip until it reaches the top of the bridle. Again, No Pulleys in the kite = equals more DIRECT TIP STEERING and that good ole Ozone feel.
The Sport comes with the “One-Pump” inflation system to maximize efficiency and get you on the water quicker. Simply pump air into the leading edge and the entire kite inflates together simultaneously. The One-Pump system has clips to shut off pressure to individual struts, which is recommended to isolate each strut once inflated. Ozone has implanted neoprene covers over the clips and connection points to protect them during use and when packed away. This simple yet effective device can be rolled back when using the clip and then replaced to guard it. Ozone is a License payee of the Patent approved One-pump system.
