Aircademys Ladder Competition

Freestyle Ladder - Rules

Freestyle Ladder Rules

Those who wish to take part will sign up. They will be seeded and placed in a ladder. This ladder will run much the same way as a tennis/squash ladder.

You are eligible to challenge anyone on the ladder who is directly above or two slots above you. The receiver of the challenge cannot decline the challenge and then a time/date must be set between the competitors and either Gary or Elly (judges).

The maximum amount of time a challenge can be unanswered and a heat not ran between challenger and challenged is 14 days. If at the end of this time the heat has not been ran because the challenged cannot make it to the airfield (holidays/injuries included) then the challenger automatically wins.

Race Ladder Rules,
Its just the same as the Freestyle bar the course.
The circuit will consist of a minium of 2 cones indicating the corners of the course.
Each racer will start at opposing ends of the circuit and race for 6 laps. The winner will be the racer who passes his/her opponent over 6 laps. If neither racer is taught then the winner will be racer who has taught up his/her opponent the most.
As there is no need for judges, a race coordinater can be elected by both challenging parties.

The heats will take place within a competition box and will last 10 minutes.

If the challenger wins then he takes the spot of the person challenged, and the challenged moves one place down in the ladder. If the challenger loses then he/she can challenge straight away, but the receiver of the challenge has the option of postponing the challenge until both competitors are next at the airfield or until 14 days is up.

The only way the challenger can get round this is restriction is to challenge their other potential opponent. If he/she moves positions then they are free to challenge without restriction.

If the challenged loses the heat, then he can ask for a rematch at the time.  However the challenger can delay this challenge until the next time both competitors are at the airfield or up to 14 days.

If both competitors are at the airfield and free (i.e. not instructing/working) then a challenge can be put straight in and the receiver of this challenge must accept it or forfeit.

To put in a challenge you must register on the airbossworld forum. From here you can put in a challenge to your competitor via pm and/or public discussion. You can also get your opponents contact details from the airbossworld shop if you wish to contact them via other means. You must demonstrate that you have used sufficient means to contact your opponent to challenge them, if you wish to incurr a forced forfeit due to a challenge not being met after 14 days.

New entrants to the ladder are eligible to challenge anyone in the ladder.  However if they lose this entry heat then they start from the bottom of the ladder.
